2020 Spring Camp

for Beginner-Intermediate Middle & High School Athletes

Have you always wanted to try pole vaulting, or you've got a season or two under your belt but want to really get back to the basics??? This camp is for you!! 

We will dive into the basics of the pole vault helping you become confident with your jumping ability and potential for the 2020 outdoor season. 

We will work through a thorough basic progression of pole vaulting including the pole carry and running form, proper plant positioning, the swing, and turning. Everything you will need to be confident and safe this season pole vaulting. You'll be ready to jump bars and have the confidence you need for the first meet of the outdoor season. 

The camp is only $75 for both days or $25 for just Friday and $50 for just Saturday. Tell your friends who have been thinking about pole vaulting or just need a quick refresher after months away since last season. 


Local High School Coaches are encouraged to bring their new athletes to our totally indoor facility to learn the basics of the vault without a worry of weather or balancing other athletes and events. Coaches are welcome to observe and learn for themselves as well to improve their own coaching skills. 
 

Payment can be made via Venmo (@KodyPierce33) at any time as well as with cash or check when you arrive at the camp

 

CAMP SCHEDULE:

Friday March 6:   5pm-8pm

We will start right off with some basics of pole carry and approach, using both ground based drills as well as getting on the pads to get athletes the basics.

4:50p: Check-in/On-site registration at the club facility (12472 S Meadow Spring Ln. Riverton, UT 84065)

5:00p: Group Warm-Up 5:30p: Break out into Groups for Ground Vaulting Drills 6:30p: Getting onto the pads 3-step 7:30p: Group cool-down and stretching

Saturday March 7:   9am-3pm
We will Jump into learning how to more effectively swing and turn, building on the basics from Friday. Make sure to bring a lunch.

9:00a: Group Warm-Up/On-site Registration 9:30a: 3-Step Review and Pushing it back to a 5-step 10:30a: Swing-Up drills 11:30a: Turning drills
12:30p: Lunch Break 1:00p: Jumping
2:00p: Group cool-down and stretching
